Tribute to Mr. André Bos – A Dream Builder, a Visionary Soul

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Mr. André Bos passed away on June 10 in Cadaqués, Spain. Founder and president of Les Jardins de la Médina, the Oasiria water park, La Paillote restaurant, and the Oasis Lodges hotel in Marrakech, he leaves behind an exceptional legacy marked by passion, generosity, and refinement.

After a successful first part of his life as an industrialist in the aluminum sector, André Bos — born in France — was much more than an entrepreneur: he was a man of heart, a visionary, a builder. His deep love for Morocco — its culture, its landscapes, and its hospitality — was the driving inspiration behind his most emblematic projects. Marrakech, the city he chose as home, became the stage for his greatest creations.

With rare elegance, he transformed places into unforgettable experiences. Les Jardins de la Médina, a “Boutique hotel” in the heart of Marrakech’s old medina, reflects his attention to detail and deep respect for Moroccan heritage. His taste for authenticity and comfort gave rise to an exceptional hotel, blending historic charm with contemporary art de vivre.

Oasiria, another of his major achievements, was one of Morocco’s first two water parks. A true lush aquatic garden, it helped diversify and modernize Marrakech’s tourism offering. Nestled in a green natural setting, the park offers a unique blend of relaxation and excitement: an indoor Olympic pool, several outdoor pools, numerous water slides for all ages, lazy rivers, and a vast wave pool that many still affectionately call “the beach of Marrakech.”

With La Paillote, he imagined a warm, African-inspired restaurant nestled in a luxuriant garden. In the same environment, he later created Oasis Lodges, a discreet eco-hotel featuring 50 lodges immersed in a magnificent 3-hectare natural park — a haven for rest, sport, and cultural activities.

But beyond his professional achievements, André Bos was above all a deeply human being. To many, he was not only a leader but a guide — a reassuring, almost fatherly presence. His natural charisma, kindness, and inspiring sense of excellence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

Today, a page turns, but his spirit lives on in every stone, every tree, and every smile exchanged in the places he shaped with love.

Our heartfelt thoughts go out to his family, his loved ones, and all those for whom he was a role model.

May his soul rest in peace.
